As a Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist (Band 2), you will further the success of our programs to help Northrop Grumman leave the boundaries of what's known and solve tomorrow's problems. This position will be working in our Linthicum, MD facility. The Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist (Band 2) responsibilities will encompass:

 

o Approaching competitive and non-competitive sourcing in request for quotations

o Optimizing volume pricing through bid package strategies

o Evaluating supplier proposals and potentially placing compliant purchase orders

o Extracting, monitoring, analyzing, and validating data information from multiple sources

o Developing engaging and collaborative relationships with suppliers and internal partners/customers to drive problem resolution

 

Candidates must be able to make sound decisions in a timely manner, display strong interpersonal skills, and have an agile perspective of compliance protocol mandated by regulated industry.

Basic Qualifications for Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist (Band 2):

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years'of experience in supply chain management, logistics, project management, and/or business management,
  • Experience in MS Office suite, including Microsoft Teams
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:          

  • Experience with FAR/DFAR, including cyber security requirements (such as FAR 52.204-7012, DFARS 252.204-7012, etc.)
  • Experience with SAP 
  • Experience using the Ariba SLP Portal for onboarding new NGC suppliers
  • Experience with negotiations with suppliers

Primary Level Salary Range: $72,400.00 - $108,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
