Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Manager of Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance 2 to join our team in Sunnyvale, CA.

What You'll get to Do:

This individual will supervise employees who install, maintain, and repair industrial processing and manufacturing equipment. This position will coordinate with manufacturing personnel, manufacturing engineering and management to ensure that manufacturing equipment is maintained and in ready status. The successful candidate will ensure that machine and equipment metrics achieve a high level of performance, communicate readiness, drive execution of repair and engage a highly skilled team to customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include planning, designing and overseeing the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities as required.

Other responsibilities include the following:

  • Lead a team of skilled technicians and electricians to drive machine and equipment performance.

  • Support a Predictive and Preventive Maintenance Program for machine tools and equipment.

  • Ensure the implementation and accuracy of the Computer Maintenance Management System.

  • Lead and Coordinate Root Cause and Corrective Action of machine and equipment failures.

  • Communicate daily status of machine downtime and repair activities.

  • Drive initiatives that lead to increased machine uptime performance.

Basic Qualifications for the Manager of Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance 2:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant manufacturing work experience; OR a Master's Degree with 6 or more years of experience. (Note: 12 or more years of relevant manufacturing work experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree).

  • Supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with environmental, health and safety regulations, including the ability to review, understand and interpret regulatory standards.

  • US citizenship is a requirement.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications for the Manager of Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance 2:

  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatic's, mechanical and electrical systems and machine tools.

  • Experience with maintenance connection (CMMS).

  • Experience with Siemens 840D controls, AMC & AMP or other OEE Machine connectivity software.

  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certified or Lean Manufacturing experience.

  • Experience working in a Union represented environment.

  • STEM Degree.

Primary Level Salary Range: $121,100.00 - $181,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
