Northrop Grumman Enterprise Security Shared Services (ESSS) organization has an opening for a Security Coordinator 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located in Irving, TX.

ESSS is responsible for the processing and maintenance of U.S. Government security clearance records for Northrop Grumman’s cleared personnel. This role works under the direction of the Industrial Security Analyst Team Lead to provide ongoing support to the Personnel Security Clearances process.
 

Essential Functions:

  • Support the following personnel security clearance transactions: initial requests, transfers, conversions, upgrades/downgrades, and periodic re-investigation.

  • Utilize the relevant personnel security systems (JPAS/DISS, SCUS, ESIS, e-QIP) as required to support personnel security clearance transactions.

  • Review relevant documents for completeness and accuracy. - Collect, track, analyze, and report investigation status on a frequent basis.

  • Utilize the Security Shared Service call center tools (case management system, IVR, knowledgebase, Agent Dashboard) to provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

  • Respond to customer inquiries (email, phone calls, etc.), maintain applicant information and investigation history in multiple databases. - Fingerprint applicants and conduct other duties to support team initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience

  • Must be an experienced security professional with strong interpersonal skills

  • Must have the ability to work on site in Irving, TX - this cannot be performed virtually

  • Candidates must have a current U.S. Government Secret level security clearance (or higher) in order to be considered 

  • Must have the ability to work within 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM CST, Monday thru Friday

  • Must have proven customer service, teamwork, and process improvement skills

  • Must have the ability to solve problems by utilizing training, knowledge, tools, and analytical skills

  • Must have the ability to interact with a variety of customers, partners, vendors, management, and employees

  • Must have a confident phone presence and exceptional customer service skills

  • Must have accurate and complete documentation skills utilizing case management systems and Microsoft products


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret security clearance preferred

  • Previous Industrial Security experience, preferably with security clearance processing (SF86, eQIPs)

  • Previous experience interacting with customers in a call center/ service center environment

  • Experience using telephony systems and case management systems

  • Experience with a Case Management system or related Personnel Security databases such as JPAS/DISS and SIMS

  • Computer literate and current on new technology such as Microsoft Office suite

Primary Level Salary Range: $49,100.00 - $81,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
