Summary

Job Description

The Senior Specialist, Program Scheduler will be responsible for managing schedules for complex projects or processes with general oversight. This position requires strong knowledge of job area and broad knowledge of project management and integrated scheduling. The Sr Spec, Program Scheduler will communicate within and outside of own function to manage and status program performance against schedule baseline.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs schedule analysis in support of assigned programs or projects.
  • Ensures major program and project schedules/plans are integrated across functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality.
  • Support program reviews to ensure that schedule elements meet requirements.
  • Tracks plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts.
  • Ensures compliance with internal program procedures and project control system guidelines.
  • Lead or participate in scheduling status reviews.
  • Support schedule development for major program proposal efforts.
  • Communicates within and outside own function or business area and has responsibility for communicating with parties external to the organization (i.e. customers, vendors, etc.) when necessary.
  • Broad knowledge of project and program management. Viewed as having a specialty in integrated scheduling within the Project/Program Management discipline.
  • Experience explaining, interpreting, and gaining cooperation on scheduling policies, procedures and practices to other employees.
  • Subject matter expert in MS Project and Milestone Professional tools.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • MicroSoft Project experience
  • Program/Project Integrated Master Schedule development and maintenance experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with Earned Value Management processes and tools
  • Experience with Costpoint, Cognos, Cobra or other ERP systems a plus
  • Experience working within an intergrated project team (IPT)
