L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Lead, Continuous Improvement for our Camden, NJ location. This role will serve as the Continuous Improvement (CI) Lead for the site. This role uses knowledge of CI to recognize opportunities for improvement across all aspects of the business. Responsible for training and mentoring value stream owners in the concepts of Continuous Improvement and the tools used, and will work with the leadership team to develop a CI strategy for the organization. This position will develop and foster a culture of CI by leading improvement activities involving employees from all levels and all functions of the business 

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Acts as an unwavering advocate of lean methodology
  • Coaches, mentors and supports leadership to the organization on the use of Lean / Continuous Improvement tools
  • Develop and implement an operations/business continuous improvement roadmap that includes a project selection methodology/list and yearly cost saving target or efficiency enhancement, and work with the management team to deploy the plan
  • Preparing needs analyses of identified processes from the project selection list to achieve and exceed key metrics.
  • Perform capacity planning, as needed. Understand MRP and related business systems concepts and be able to pull relevant reports.
  • Spearhead operational excellence benchmark opportunities, in and outside of L3Harris
  • Develop and facilitate team charters to meet objectives of each opportunity identified
  • Train, educate and mentor those assigned to each chartered activity
  • Conduct project review meetings

Required Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (industrial or manufacturing engineering preferred) and minimum of nine years prior relevant experience. Graduate degree and minimum of seven years prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior relevant experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • LEAN certification and/or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
  • Strong math, analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
  • Process improvement experience with demonstrable competency in application of Lean Sigma tools and methodologies (e.g.: 6S, Waste Reduction, TPM, SMED, Kanban, FEMA’s, DMAIC, PDCA, 8D, Process/Value Stream Mapping, Mistake/Error Proofing, SMED, VA/VE, DOE, etc..).
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, good interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, negotiation and time management skills
  • Experience developing processes, writing procedures and training hourly and exempt associates.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $105,000 - $175,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
