Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector (NGAS) has an opening for a Manager Industrial Security 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Security organization. This leadership role is located at Melbourne, FL

The Manager Industrial Security 2 will have the responsibility of developing and administering security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment., which will include the following responsibilities:

Role Responsibilities:

  • Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations.
  • Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies.
  • Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials.
  • Provides direction to security team members to assist with the execution of their statement of work. Assist with team members' professional development and growth.
  • Leading a team of security professionals to ensure consistent application of the leadership characteristics that are expected of all employees within the organization.
  • Ensuring employee engagement across the team.
  • Collaboration across teams within the Security organization.
  • Providing leadership, guidance, and professional development/mentoring to professionals at all levels.
  • Developing and implementing security policy and standards across the program.
  • Ensuring all program performance objectives as well as key milestones and deliverables are met.
  • Managing a security budget within an established target.
  • Responsible for oversight of company security operations including compliance and administration of company security requirements.
  • Support and administer physical security activities to include security systems development, support, and installation.
  • Oversee SAP and DOD compliance activities, including administration across multiple functions to include, Compliance Framework, Internal Review Team coordination and support.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 6+ years of experience in Security within the Aircraft, Aerospace, Manufacturing Industries or Military related experience OR Master’s Degree AND 4+ years of experience in Security within the Aircraft, Aerospace, Manufacturing Industries or Military related experience OR High School Diploma AND 10+ years of experience in Security within the Aircraft, Aerospace, Manufacturing Industries or Military related experience
  • Minimum of 2 Years of management, supervisor, or other demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Must have an Active DoD Secret Clearance that is in-scope Granted or renewed in the last 5 years and the ability to obtain special program access.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and familiarity with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), as well as DoD and SAP Manuals, and other US Government security manuals.
  • Experience with Prop and company security operations.
  • Ability to execute Security and Program Management concepts.
  • Experience managing multiple function teams.
  • Excellent communication, writing and organization skills, enabling effective communications with team members, fellow employees and government officials.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimal oversight.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to interact with internal/external customers.

Primary Level Salary Range: $115,000.00 - $172,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
