Overview
This position will execute Electric Boat Supplier Management strategy in the Missile and Payload Tube, Casting and Forging supplier marketspace. This specific marketspace works with suppliers manufacturing complex and critical missile and payload tube components, along with key casting and forging suppliers that feed direct Electric Boat purchase orders and other primary vendors in the Submarine Industrial Base. The Supplier Quality (SQ) Analyst is responsible for executing quality validation of buy part numbers, Vendor Information Requests (VIR), part number reviews and performing analytical review of supplier quality data in support of the Supplier Quality Management plans. The SQ Analyst will review required quality systems defined within part number requirements and validate that suppliers have the appropriate quality management systems to support execution of work.
SQ Analyst duties include:
- Analyzing policies, procedures, and specifications for conformity to the requirements
- Analyze supplier performance data
- Communicate requirements, both verbally and written to internal customers and suppliers
- Recognize emergent quality issues
- Supporting root cause, corrective, and preventive analysis at suppliers
- Supporting audits at suppliers
- Backend business system processing and data organization in Oracle ERP Business Suite

Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalency
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related role
- Strong experience querying and manipulating data using SQL
- Strong understanding of statistical concepts, KPIs, and metric development
- Demonstrate strong independent management skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision
Preferred:
- Bachelors degree in supply chain management or other relevant discipline, equivalent military service, or 3-5 years experience in manufacturing, operations, data analysis, or contracts
- Experience working with Quality requirements
- Previous experience interpreting contractual requirements, manufacturing drawings, and military or commercial specifications
- A working knowledge of MRP, Oracle & JCALS, and strong desktop computer skills using Microsoft programs, e.g., Excel, MSWord, Access, and Power BI is desirable
- Experience with Supplier Oversight
- Auditing experience
- Quality Certifications: LEAN Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and/or relevant ASQ certifications
