- Leads API lifecycle processes from design and development through onboarding, testing, deployment, operational monitoring, and retirement, using platforms such as Apigee, Kong, MuleSoft, and Google Cloud API Gateway.
- Implements API governance frameworks incorporating authentication and authorization models, certificate management, schema validation, throttling controls, and continuous compliance checks driven by security policies and enterprise reference designs.
- Conducts performance optimization for high-volume APIs by applying caching strategies, policy tuning, traffic shaping, and analytics-based capacity planning.
- Develops developer portals, technical documentation, interface contracts, onboarding guides, and reusable templates that strengthen consistency and accelerate adoption across distributed engineering teams.
- Provides technical leadership for large-scale integration efforts, coordinating closely with platform engineers, cybersecurity analysts, data services teams, and operations personnel to align APIs with service dependencies, cross-domain data workflows, and enclave-specific operational constraints.
