This role owns enterprise material readiness and operational supply-chain execution across prototype, NPI, LRIP, rate ramp, and full-rate production environments. The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for ensuring production supportability through alignment across Manufacturing, Engineering, Programs, Finance, and Operations.

The role serves as the operational integrator across the supply chain organization — driving planning discipline, shortage management, material prioritization, logistics execution, inventory strategy, and enterprise supply-chain operating cadence.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and scale the end-to-end Supply Chain organization across Procurement, Planning & Scheduling, Inventory/Materials, Logistics, Warehouse Operations, and Material Flow.
  • Establish operational structure, cadences, reporting, and escalation processes to support company growth and production scaling.
  • Own enterprise material readiness and ensure production supportability across prototype, NPI, LRIP, rate ramp, and full-rate production programs.
  • Drive cross-functional coordination between Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Programs, Finance, and Operations teams.
  • Lead shortage management, material allocation, and prioritization decisions across production, R&D, and strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee production planning, scheduling, Line of Balance execution, and ERP/MRP governance to maintain supply-chain accuracy and execution discipline.
  • Develop and improve supply-chain systems, planning infrastructure, and operational tooling to support scalable operations.
  • Align demand forecasts, procurement activity, inventory strategy, and manufacturing capacity planning.
  • Own inventory strategy, warehouse operations, kitting, replenishment, and material flow to support efficient production execution.
  • Improve inventory visibility, inventory health, warehouse efficiency, and production-line supportability across manufacturing programs.
  • Partner with Procurement leadership to manage supplier performance, delivery risks, capacity constraints, and supply continuity issues.
  • Oversee domestic and international logistics operations, including transportation performance and import/export compliance.
  • Lead operational supply reviews, shortage reviews, and supply-chain escalation forums while providing executive reporting and recommendations on material readiness, supplier risk, and operational performance.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 12+ years of supply chain, operations, manufacturing, or materials leadership experience.
  • 5+ years leading integrated supply-chain organizations or multiple supply-chain functional areas.
  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, RF, electronics, or high-reliability manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • ERP/MRP systems
    • Production planning & scheduling
    • Inventory management
    • Logistics operations
    • Supplier performance management
    • Material flow and manufacturing support
  • Experience managing shortages, operational prioritization, and production readiness in manufacturing environments.
  • Experience building operational cadences, KPI structures, and executive reporting processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional operational execution in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience supporting prototype, NPI, LRIP, rate ramp, and FRP manufacturing environments.
  • Experience implementing or scaling ERP/MRP infrastructure and supply-chain systems.
  • Familiarity with serialized hardware and configuration-controlled manufacturing.
  • Experience leading supply-chain organizations in aerospace/defense startup or rapid-growth environments.
  • Experience supporting high-mix, low-volume manufacturing operations.
  • Familiarity with:
    • ITAR
