Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior or Lead Supplier Program Management Specialist to join our Proprietary Supply Chain Team in El Segundo, California.

The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for development of new parts and suppliers from specification refinement, SOW definition, source selection, design reviews, part qualifications, to production for complex assemblies and major subsystems for the program. Extensive composite spacecraft / aircraft assembly experience will be a large plus for this position. Position Responsibilities – Senior Level 4:

  • Proactively teams with program stakeholders (PM/IPTL) and various engineering disciplines to ensure accurate technical requirements definition and schedule execution
  • Collaborates with other internal teams to gain process efficiencies and meet the needs of our internal and external customer’s requirements
  • Leads strategic supply chain activities to manage work with suppliers and programs
  • Provides technical and business guidance to integrate strategic supply chain activities
  • Gathers data for supplier performance evaluation and improvement opportunities
  • Manages supplier relationships and performance throughout all contract phases
  • Provides technical and business guidance to integrate strategic supply chain activities
  • Leads stakeholder relationships and performance throughout all contract phases
  • Conducts and guides supplier assessments
  • Develops current and projected work statement
  • Leads and establishes the basis for recovery, corrective and preventative action plans
  • Communicates supplier and organization performance plans risks, issues and opportunities to stakeholders
  • Develops and executes work movement plans

  • Leads strategic supply chain activities to manage work with suppliers and programs
  • Manages all aspects of supplier and stakeholder relationships and performance throughout all contract phases
  • Leads supplier assessments and the development of recovery plans, corrective and preventative actions
  • Leads the development of company or business unit procurement strategies
  • Provides oversight, guidance and verification of work movement projects
  • Communicates supplier and organization performance plans risks, issues and opportunities to stakeholders
  • Manages work movement plans

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Shift:

This position is for 1st shift.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)

Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Technical Bachelor's, Master's or a PhD degree. (A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study)
  • More than 5 years of experience in program management within supplier management
  • More than 5 years of experience developing Master Phasing Plans or Master Schedules
  • More than 5 years of experience in negotiating contracts or managing supplier performance

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Senior Level 4: More than 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Lead Level 5: More than 10 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • More than 5 years of experience working in Supply Chain Management, Finance or Program Management
  • More than 5 years of experience with proposal development and contract negotiations
  • More than 5 years of experience in Root Cause and Corrective action analysis (RCCA)
  • More than 5 years of experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)-Cost type purchase contracts
  • More than 5 years of experience in composite spacecraft / aircraft assembly manufacturing will be a large plus for this position
  • Experienced in working directly with strategic customers to develop concepts and requirements for future business opportunities

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for Senior Level 4: $121,550 - $150,150

Summary pay range for Lead Level 5: $150,450 - $185,850
