Overview

**This position will be physically located in Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP**

The Administrative Assistant – Dental PAD provides administrative and patient administration support to the Dental Clinic within a Medical Treatment Facility (MTF). This position supports patient registration, appointment scheduling, dental records management, and coordination of dental services. The role ensures accurate documentation, smooth clinic operations, and compliance with DoD, LOGCAP, and host-nation requirements.


Responsibilities

  • Support dental patient registration, check-in, and check-out processes
  • Dental Insurance claims
  • Schedule, coordinate, and manage dental appointments and provider calendars
  • Maintain and manage dental patient records in accordance with policy and confidentiality standards
  • Ensure accurate entry and maintenance of patient demographic and encounter information
  • Coordinate patient flow within the dental clinic to support efficient operations
  • Assist dental providers and clinic leadership with administrative documentation and reporting
  • Maintain filing systems, logs, and administrative records required for clinic operations
  • Respond professionally to patient inquiries and provide customer service support
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, DoD, and LOGCAP administrative standards
  • Support audits, inspections, and quality assurance activities
  • Participate in training and process improvement initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
  • Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Associate degree in Medical Administration, Health Services Administration, or related field preferred
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years of administrative or patient administration experience, preferably in a dental or healthcare setting
  • Licensure / Registration:
    • None required
  • Certification:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred
  • Clearance Requirements:
    • Ability to meet all deployment, security, and credentialing requirements
  • Additional Requirements
    • Must maintain required clearances and deployment eligibility for the duration of employment
    • Must comply with all LOGCAP, V2X, DoD, and host-nation policies
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary dental and medical team
  • Skills:
    • Knowledge of patient administration and healthcare administrative processes
    • Familiarity with dental clinic operations preferred
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills
    • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
    • Proficiency with office software and healthcare information systems
    • Ability to work effectively in a deployed, austere, or high-tempo environment
  • Working Conditions:
    • None. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work.)
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
    • Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
    • Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
    • Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
