Position Summary
As Director Project Engineering, you will lead the execution of complex, large-scale aerospace projects and ensure seamless alignment across all engineering functions. You strengthen project delivery excellence by developing your team, optimizing processes, and driving continuous improvement across cost, schedule, quality, and compliance. This role is highly cross-functional and requires a motivating, strategic leader who excels at connecting people, processes, and business goals.
Your role
- Lead end-to-end project execution across multiple business lines, ensuring adherence to cost, schedule, quality, and customer expectations.
- Act as the main entry point for stakeholders to align and improve engineering business processes across the organization.
- Partner closely with IT to ensure tools and processes support the company's digitalization roadmap.
- Collaborate with leaders across and beyond Engineering to align strategic direction with company objectives.
- Develop, mentor, and grow a high-performing team, ensuring capacity, capability, and skills match project and program needs.
- Drive continuous improvement by managing risks and opportunities, and ensuring lessons learned are implemented.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and internal governance (e.g., EN9100/9110).
- Represent the department through performance reporting, communication cascades, and cross-functional engagement.

Your profile
- Master's degree in engineering (ideally Aerospace) with 10+ years of experience - or a bachelor's degree with 15+ years in the aerospace industry.
- At least 5 years in a leadership role managing projects, programs, or teams of 10+ team members.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving capability with hands-on engineering understanding.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to steer in a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Passion for developing people and fostering an engaged team culture.
- Strong risk management mindset and familiarity with industry tools and technology trends.
- Open, collaborative, and proactive in building cross-functional and cross-company networks.
