As the Norwich Site Quality Leader, you will provide leadership and coaching on strategic quality initiatives aligned with Lean principles to drive a zero-defect culture. You will be responsible for developing strategic actions aligned to the business objectives and executing to meet and exceed the business KPIs (MRB & nonconformance, Losses, customer disruptions)

This role will require established problem-solving skills to develop root-cause corrective action (RCCA), process improvement through digital solutions, process capability and data analytics for the plant. You will design and deliver training solutions around the quality initiatives and zero-defect culture for the site.

Job Description

Role Overview:

  • Drive a culture of quality compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Deep understanding of the Unison Quality System
  • Ability to manage quality compliance on product deliverables to a diverse customer base
  • Lead a team of Customer and Product Quality Engineers
  • Support the integration of Lean and Quality to optimize the use of Lean and quality tools.
  • Monitor, coach and coordinate the delivery of training on topics such as RCCA, PFMEA, Print to Planning, process improvements, MSA, capability studies and digital solutions.
  • Provide expertise in analyzing learning needs, designing training solutions and launching the solutions into the team.
  • Communicate solutions across the quality organization and with cross-functional partner organizations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or high school diploma/GED and at least 9 years of people leadership/management and 9 years of quality experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years of quality experience
  • This position requires U.S. citizenship status

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of high levels of shop floor engagement and leader of a cultural change. Change agent with strong credibility and influence in the organization
  • Proven understanding of key Quality improvement and lean tools, including problem solving and RCCA, Mistake Proofing, PFMEA
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Self-motivated leader with ability to motivate others and achieve results.
  • Demonstrated commitment for process improvement.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification or equivalent Quality certification

The base pay range for this position is $136,000 - $156,000 . The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.
