Basic Qualifications
Requires a Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
Duties and Tasks:
Possess high level of manufacturing technical skills
Lead the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods, tools, processes, and operations for new and existing products
Responsible for managing people, including performance evaluations and merit recommendations
Establishes and ensures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements
Works closely with Engineering to ensure new products are seamlessly transitioned into production
Ensuring that all internal quality practices demonstrate compliance to external requirements
Responsible for areas of lean manufacturing techniques, cost reduction, on-time delivery performance, safety, visual controls, and plant performance measurements
Focus on designing arrangement of manufacturing tools, equipment, benches to ensure most efficient and productive layout
Providing guidance to product design engineering on technical specifications that will best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques
Setting goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results
Problems faced may be difficult but typically are not complex
Ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers and stakeholders
Actively uncovers technical and organizational risks and ensures they are included in risk mitigation plans
Plans and executes small projects or task elements within larger projects, organizations, or for groups of projects
Responsible for the completion of assigned engineering tasks or small projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines
Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering tasks or small projects within area of assigned responsibility
Directs team members to achieve assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies
Drives continuous improvement throughout the group and processes
Communicates relevant department, group or project information to other related teams and departments
Leads efforts to identify schedule and resource technical risks and develop risk reduction plans
Regular customer interface
Travel may be required
Security clearance may be required

Highly proficient knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning Software such as IFS or Oracle
Sound knowledge base of Design-to-Unit Production Cost (DTUPC) methodologies
Highly proficient background in Lean Methodologies to reduce overall costs in Operations
Demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve results through others
Possess strong negotiation skills and the ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization, as well as external contacts
Possess regulatory knowledge of Industry requirements for health and safety
Highly proficient knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain Management and Procurement Management
Salary Note
This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
Combined Salary Range
USD $120,000.00 - USD $130,000.00 /Yr.
