As a Communications Specialist Senior, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Medicaid Integrity Institute (MII). You will play a crucial role in supporting event activities for MII under the guidance of the Marketing and Communications Manager.
MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:
- Creating public/internal facing documents.
- Assisting in conducting campaigns in the selected email marketing service.
- Assisting in maintaining distribution lists.
- Assisting in developing and running metrics associated with campaigns.
- Proofreading and editing content.
- Creating and managing surveys.
- Supporting the Quality Assurance efforts in ensuring communications are Section 508 compliant.
- Assisting with audio/video requests.
- Assisting with marketing research projects.
- Protecting the integrity of the MII brand identity which includes voice and imagery across internal and external communications.
- Supporting the Trusted Third Party (TTP) Marketing and Communications Manager to respond to ad-hoc requests from Healthcare Fraud prevention Partnership (HFPP) leadership and TTP leadership.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of related technical writing experience.
- Knowledge of Section 508 compliance.
- Expertise using email marketing and automation platforms: (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc.).
- Expertise in content development, proofreading, and editing.
- Ability to work proficiently with MS Office including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work on PC and Mac systems.

The likely salary range for this position is $85,093 - $100,050. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
