Overview

This position is for the Strategic Partnership Site in Jacksonville, FL.

The Site is hiring a Logistics Analyst to support Virginia & Columbia class deck fabrication efforts in Jacksonville, FL.

This role operates within the Strategic Partnership environment, where supplier personnel are utilized as embedded Electric Boat (EB) contractors. Embedded personnel are provided contractor badges, required trade training, and access to applicable business systems. Strategic Partners Build to EB paper and are required to strictly adhere to EB policies, procedures, processes, and work packages.

The selected candidate will interact with all levels of supplier and EB management and must demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, and strong collaboration skills. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, task-oriented, and capable of prioritizing workload while supporting knowledge transfer. Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to cultivate and promote a positive team-focused environment.

Logistics Analysts must be well versed in either EB Wire/Tool Room Control and/or Material Control and Management. Candidates must possess experience in at least one area; training will be provided onsite for the other. Material Control responsibilities require knowledge of material management, inventory policies, warehousing, and material packaging and handling. The candidate will receive, identify, locate, retrieve, and ship materials to and from Quonset Point, Groton, and other EB locations. Wire/Tool Room responsibilities require knowledge of the ATICTS system, weld wire loading to White Wire Chits, utilization of AWPSS, weld wire storage and segregation requirements, stick electrode management, and an exceptional level of attention to detail.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain a positive, energetic attitude and demonstrate flexibility as task requirements evolve
  • Receive raw materials and products; validate material types, markings, segregation, and quantities using receiving reports, material move tags, packing slips, packing lists, and shipping documentation
  • Maintain warehouse and buffer storage areas, ensuring materials are properly labeled, staged, segregated, and stored in accordance with EB processes
  • Perform and retain inventory accuracy audits to support Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) requirements
  • Issue material and products to supervision and management; locate materials based on location, nomenclature, size, shape, weight, or stock number
  • Securely palletize material for transportation and delivery
  • Utilize MRP, Pitch/Catch, and Virtual Warehousing systems
  • Track material transfers and in-transit material across EB departments, expediting as necessary to meet required need dates
  • Manage weld wire issue, return, and scrap processes using ATICTS and AWPSS (additional training provided as required)
  • Operate basic hand tools, including banding tools, shears, and related equipment
  • Perform work using tablets and other electronic systems
  • Comply with all EB company policies and procedures
  • Maintain working knowledge of SPs, SSPs, DIs, SIs, MDDs, and SDDs
  • Perform tactical problem-solving to support production needs
  • Coordinate with Production, Planning, Material Warehouses, and Shipping/Receiving organizations
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and the ability to handle and lift heavy items within established safety guidelines
  • Work collaboratively within a team environment to meet organizational goals
  • Support Strategic Partner programs at EB supplier facilities; position is permanently located in Jacksonville
  • Promote and enforce a strong security posture when working with embedded supplier personnel, including diligent management of sensitive and controlled data
  • Build trust and collaboration with supplier management and embedded personnel
  • Work other than normal business hours as required, including evenings, weekends, holidays, shift work, and emergent overtime
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with peers, supervisors, suppliers, and EB leadership

Responsibilities

  • Experienced in any of the following: MRP II or EWP or ATICTS or equivalent for warehousing or material management
  • Possess excellent time management skills

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 4+ years of logistics experience. This is not an entry level position
  • Must be available to work all shifts and extended hours as business needs dictate
  • Must be able to travel, as required. This position may require business and Extended Work Assignment (EWA) travel as necessary to support the Program efforts at other vendor locations

Preferred:

  • 1+ year of EB experience in Tool Room and/or Warehousing with EB Material background/Experience
  • Vocational, Technical, Community College, or Apprentice Program education
  • Prior experience in an EB and/or Naval Shipyard environment
  • Previous experience in warehousing, transportation, planning, or related fields
  • Working knowledge of Teamcenter
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Experience with Lotus Notes, Outlook, and Cornerstone
  • Military or U.S. Navy experience
