You will be the Engineering Manager, Simulation Development Software for the Simulation and Systems Labs (SSL) which is responsible for the development, integration and troubleshooting of simulation software products in hardware‑in‑the‑loop and man‑in‑the‑loop lab environments.



What You Will Be Doing


As the Engineering Manager, Simulation Development Software you will be responsible for leading a team of 20‑30 software engineers supporting F‑35 and ADP simulation, driving digital transformation, and overseeing the design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance of simulation software and related computing systems.



Your responsibilities will include:



  • Coordinating employee recruitment, selection and training

  • Performance assessment

  • Work assignments

  • Salary, recognition/disciplinary actions

  • Software competency development

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline
• Project or Technical leadership experience
• Experience in SW Development Processes
Desired Skills:
• Experience in Earned Value Management
• Simulation Software knowledge and experience
• Software Modeling knowledge and experience
• CI/CD tooling and processes
• Agile development experience
• Full Life Cycle SW Development Process leadership and/or experience
• Simulation and Systems Integration Lab experience
• Understanding of Real-Time Systems, Computers, Busses, & I/O Protocols
• Understanding of Air System Simulation and Aircraft Hardware & Software
• Software Development leadership experience or Software Integration leadership experience
• Technical Experience/Background
• Ability to obtain SAP/SAR Clearances
• F-35 Domain Experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
