Overview

Plant Services Carpenter performs general carpentry assignments such as, but not limited to:

  • repair/replacement of doors and walls
  • installation of ceilings and replacement of tiles
  • fire caulking penetrations
  • railing repairs
  • flooring projects
  • install/replacement of stair treads
  • window repairs
  • locksmith services
  • installation of LKM & CDX locking devices
  • installation of shelving
  • repair/replacement of bathroom partitions
  • hanging of Christmas wreaths, pictures, banners, white boards, bulleting/cork boards
  • AED medical heart devices
  • signs
  • cutting of tree limbs with a chain saw
  • demolition and renovation projects
  • working with sketches and drawings and carpentry related preps for Christening ceremonies.


Responsibilities

  • Being a self-starter and capable of working alone with minimal supervision

  • Working in hot and cold environment conditions.
  • Experience in operating power shop tools to include; table saws, drill press, jointer, planner, radial alarm saw, etc.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting blue print drawings.
  • Knowledge of Carpentry and related building codes.
  • Willingness to work daily and weekend overtime in support of special projects.
  • Knowledge of flooring project installations.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills
  • Locksmith service knowledge.
  • JLG qualifications


Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED or 2 years of related technical experience
  • 5+ years of carpentry experience

Preferred:

  • 1+ years of commercial construction experience
