Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, located in Baltimore, MD has an immediate need for a Nurse Employee Health 3. The nurse will provide onsite services at the Baltimore, MD and the future Linthicum, MD sites.

 

Hours:  Mon. – Fri. 7:30 am – 4:00 pm - Nurse will have the opportunity to work an alternate work day schedule if preferred (9/80).   

 

Description of Nurse 3 Duties:

  • Respond to emergencies and administer first aid to employees for job related illnesses and injuries.  

  • Deliver OSHA and job/site/contract required surveillance program services (i.e. hearing conservation, respiratory protection, visual acuity, bloodborne pathogens, biological monitoring, etc.) to identified employee populations in collaboration with Environmental Health and Safety.

  • Maintain accurate recordkeeping in electronic medical records system (Cority) in compliance with OSHA requirements.

  • Dispense OTC Medications.

  • Work with industrial toxicology and/or hygienists to recognize environmental factors and/or stresses in or from the workplace that may cause sickness, impaired health, or discomfort among the workers. Nurse will assist in providing appropriate training to management and employees.

  • Maintain compliance with laws, regulations and standards governing occupational health and safety for employees and the workplace. 

 

Basic Qualifications for the Nurse Employee Health 3:

 

  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing and at least 5 or more years of experience as a Registered Nurse

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail and internet navigation

  • Experience presenting/functioning to all levels of management and at various locations

  • Work independently or with a team on special projects

  • Experience collaborating in a team environment

  • Experience performing a variety of tasks simultaneously and under tight deadlines

  • Experience maintaining confidential documents and information

Required certifications for the Nurse Employee Health 3:

  • CPR/BLS

 

Preferred Qualifications for the Nurse Employee Health 3:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing

  • 2 or more years in occupational health

 

Preferred Certifications for the Nurse Employee Health 3:

  • Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC)

  • Spirometry (NIOSH approved course optimal)

  • Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN)

 

Primary Level Salary Range: $87,000.00 - $130,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
