You will serve as a SUPERVISORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Supply Officer/Head of Supply Department (ST40) of FLEET READINESS CENTER WESTERN PACIFIC. ***ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. Major duties
You will be responsible for assigned portions of contracts supporting aircraft maintenance, repair, and repair (MRO), In-Service Repairs (ISRs), and Planned Maintenance Interval (PMI) contracts. You will plan and implement organizational structure and resource management needs for the department/division functions and duties to ensure optimal efficiency. You will plan work and develops performance plans covering work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work. You will act as liaison between contractor's plants and various supply points in resolving supply problems, i.e., shipment discrepancies, lack of timely status, material availability, and material identification. You will review work products of direct employees, resolve administrative problems, and provide, find, and/or research answers to employees and other cross-organizational departmental questions. You will provide material planning guidance and acquisition assistance for critical materials needed for Naval aircraft undergoing contract Depot Level and organic In-Service Repair (ISR). You will be responsible for the execution of supply management and the supervision of supply personnel. You will provide management and leadership on all issues related to supply policies and regulations as well as material acquisition, property and assets management. You will support and assist programs performed under contract for depot maintenance (PMI), Support Equipment Rework Facility (SERF), and ISR support for forward deployed Navy and Marine Corps aircraft.
Qualification
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: - Experience in depot-level repair or general supply management, with the ability to coordinate objectives and plans for two or more specialized supply programs. - Proficiency in analyzing and resolving complex material control issues, including supply processes, work methods, supply data management, and operational procedures. - In-depth knowledge and broad understanding of the Navy Supply and Accounting System, including supply program relationships. - Familiarity with Aviation Depot Level Repairable billings and carcass tracking procedures. - Knowledge of rules and regulations from the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Department of Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS), and NAVSUP policy, particularly regarding the proper use of the Government Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC) Program. - Knowledge of policies and procedures for requisitioning and issuing equipment and supplies. Education
This position does not require any education. Must go on limited amount of travel by commercial or government aircraft, ship, and land transportation. Must be prepared to travel at short notice to any FRC WESTPAC Detachments or contractor site. Extended periods of additional Duty may be required. Work is primarily in an office environment and the office is air conditioned. However, conducting inventories or other requirements relating to work may occasionally involve physical activity including walking, bending, stooping, or climbing during spot inventories. Safety shoes are required for walking through shops and hangars. The hanger, shops, tool room and warehouse are not air-conditioned.
