You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the HM&E FLEET AND INDUSTRIAL SUPPORT DIVISION, ENGINEERING AND PLANNING DEPARTMENT of the NAVAL SHIP REPAIR FACILITY . The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
Major duties
You will serve as the technical advisor to all Forward Deployed Naval Forces, craft and transient Naval Forces in the Pacific AOR, shore stations, Type Commanders, Naval Inventory Control Point, Naval Sea Logistics Center, etc. You will be responsible for providing complete configuration and logistics support to Fleet units undergoing Integrated Logistics Overhaul (ILO), Phased Maintenance Review (PMR), and Continuous Integrated Logistics Support (CILS). You will collect, analyze, review, and create various data reports in conjunction with the stated assignments for use in evaluating, documenting, and reporting various ILS support effectiveness. You will review, develop, and document recommendations directed at improved supply support.
Qualification
GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience serving as a technical adviser in all aspects of fleet logistics and configuration management including developing and executing complete Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) packages; developing, improving, and implementing logistics and configuration policy or procedures; AND developing fleet unit projects within identified requirements. GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience serving as an adviser in aspects of fleet logistics and configuration management including developing and executing complete Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) packages; AND developing, improving, and implementing logistics and configuration policies or procedures. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
