This position is located at MWR Pililaau Army Recreation Center in Waianae, Hawaii, on the island of Oahu. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Major duties
Responsible for management control and efficient operation of a Recreational Lodging operation. Responsible for the front office, housekeeping and maintenance functions. Conducts surveys and studies to ensure that services and facilities meet the needs, cleanliness and desire of patrons. Implements new policies or innovative promotions that increase occupancy rate, deliver quality guest service and maintain the required level of profitability. Develops and implements strategies/procedures to ensure safety and security of occupants. Maintains oversight all facets of business operations to include financial operations: development, execution of Non-appropriated Fund operating budgets, Capital Purchase, Minor Construction (CPMC) budgets, Appropriated Fund (APF) expenditures. Reviews/analyzes monthly financial operations, ensuring integrity of financial transactions and procurement management. Directs the preparation and execution of all reports required by higher authority.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: Progressively responsible management experience in hospitality operations with knowledge of funding streams and demonstrated work experience developing and executing budgets and marketing. Ability to supervise a diverse workforce. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Deals effectively with subordinates, management officials, and patrons. Ability to use a computer and various Microsoft Office software. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Resume MUST clearly reflect the knowledge and experience listed under the minimum qualifications criteria above to be considered for this job position. HIGH QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: Must have at least 3 years of experience in lodging, hospitality, or other relevant operations. Must have 1 year in retail operations. Candidates who possess both the minimum and the highly qualifying criteria will have first consideration.
