Tooele Army Depot (TEAD) is an US Army Military Installation located approximately 45 miles West of Salt Lake City, Utah. TEAD is a premier active joint ammunition storage site. TEAD is responsible for shipping, storing, receiving, inspecting, demilitarization, and maintaining training and war reserve conventional ammunition. Tooele’s Ammunition Equipment and Manufacturing Directorate (AEMD) designs and manufacturers ammunition peculiar equipment (APE) used in maintenance and demilitarization of munitions for all the Department of Defense (DoD). The Depot is in Tooele County and surrounded by the communities of Tooele, Grantsville, Stockton, and Rush Valley. The area surrounding the depot is as an urban center for a highly varied productive industrial and agricultural industries.

This position is located at McAllester Army Ammunition Plant, Oklahoma. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.

Major duties

Works under general supervision and is provided work assignments, direction, policies, guidelines, quality of work expected. deadlines, and priorities. Maintains Park picnic and pavilion recreational area. Performs daily cleaning and policing of recreational facilities and areas within the park. Assists in setting-up, maintenance, and takedown of all special planned programs/events. Provides assistance to patrons by answering questions about the facilities, giving directional information, setting up camping/party/playground areas and equipment.

Qualification

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Must have work experience directly related to the duties to be performed. Must be able to understand oral English and read and understand written instructions in English to assure safe and satisfactory performance. (Reading Chemical labels, operating instructions, assignments, etc.) In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": At least 2 years' general cleaning experience managing multiple facilities. At least 1 year of experience in small engine repair and maintenance. Applicants who meet Highly Preferred Criteria will be referred to management first. Experience must be reflected on Resume to receive credit. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Have experience driving lawn tractors, and using tools and equipment normally found in maintaining grounds, facilities, and equipment. Must have experience in operating the vehicles/equipment listed, performing operator's maintenance, and complying with safety and traffic rules and regulations. Must have the ability to perform a variety of laborer, custodial, gardening, driving, and park maintenance duties with minimal supervision. This incumbent must know how to spread fertilizer evenly to prevent underfeeding or burning of plants.
