Major duties

You will serve as the Environmental Management System (EMS) Program Manager, Comprehensive Environmental Training and Education Program (CETEP) Coordinator and the Risk Management Program (RMP) Manager for Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH). You will integrate environmental accountability into the installation's day-to-day decision making and long-term planning processes across all installation tenant and activity missions, activities and functions. You will develop and coordinate the EMS Cross Functional Team, comprised of base leaders and unit environmental coordinators. You will work to identify program deficiencies and work to develop and execute corrective actions and best management practices. You will manage, oversee any budget requirements that fall under you as a Program Manager for the Environmental Management System (EMS) and Comprehensive Environmental Training and Education Program (CETEP). You will coordinate with other environmental program managers to identify potential impacts to the environment (aspects); you will work with them to develop strategies for addressing identified environmental aspects.

Qualification

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Provide direct support to facilities and other units by ensuring regulatory compliance for Environmental Management Systems. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

Education

In lieu of experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify based on education or equivalent combination of education and experience, as follows: master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related or A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
