You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER (NUCLEAR) in the NUCLEAR ENGINEERING & PLANNING DEPARTMENT, CODE 2300 of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Major duties

You will supervise ten subordinates consisting of nuclear engineers, engineering technicians and other support staff. You will exercise both administrative and technical supervision over subordinates. You will identify developmental and training needs of employees and make provisions for such development and training. You will supervise an efficient and economical position structure which will best serve mission needs by providing the optimum balance between such elements as economy, efficiency, skills utilization, employee motivation and employee development. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing nuclear test training program requirements. You will be responsible for developing schedules to include milestone dates, professional development training, and other workforce development training requirements. You will act as liaison with other shipyard training specialists to ensure that training is delivered to nuclear testing engineering personnel with adequate quality and cost effectiveness.

Qualification

GS-13: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Generating or approving training material and plans to implement a nuclear training program for qualifying and maintaining the proficiency of nuclear engineers to ensure continued support of a naval nuclear power plant.
