Major duties
Serves as the Lead Logistics Analyst for the Audit Sustainment Support Team, planning, directing, and coordinating audit sustainment, remediation, and readiness activities in support of DLA Energy’s financial and operational audit requirements. Analyzes complex financial management, logistics, and supply chain processes to evaluate internal controls, identify systemic weaknesses, and assess risks impacting auditability, mission execution, and financial reporting. Provides senior-level advisory services to leadership and program officials by interpreting and applying audit standards, FOCA requirements, and DoD and agency policy to support sustained compliance. Leads and coordinates the work of assigned analyst by assigning priorities, balancing workload, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely completion of audit sustainment deliverables. Exercises independent judgement to interpret incomplete, conflicting, or evolving audit, financial, and logistics guidance and recommend appropriate corrective or sustainment actions. Coordinates enterprise-wide audit sustainment and remediation efforts with DLA Energy Headquarters, Major Subordinate Commands, Defense Fuel Support Points, and internal and external stakeholders.
Qualification
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Leading or coordinating audit sustainment, remediation, or readiness efforts for complex financial or logistics programs, including tracking corrective actions and supporting compliance with DoD or agency audit requirements. Analyzing financial management, logistics, or supply chain processes to evaluate internal controls, identify systemic weaknesses, and assess risks impacting auditability, financial reporting, or mission execution. Proving advisory or consultative support to management or senior stakeholders on audit findings, internal control effectiveness, or compliance issues, requiring interpretation of audit standards and agency policy. Interpreting and applying audit, financial, or logistics guidance where policies are incomplete, conflicting, or evolving, and recommending appropriate corrective or sustainment actions. Developing written products, briefings, or reports that communicate audit-related analysis, finding, or recommendations to leadership or decision-makers. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
