Summary
Job Description
Performs repair, calibration and modification of the wide variety of complex precision measurement equipment utilized by Government of Kuwait (GOK) agencies.
This discipline includes the following measurement areas: length, parallelism, flatness, gaseous/liquid flow, viscosity, pressure, vacuum, temperature, torque, angle, vibration, humidity, weight, force and tension. It encompasses repair, calibration, or modification of items such as: pressure/vacuum gages, tension meters, thermometers, humidigraphs, flowmeters, optical flats, gauge blocks, torque wrenches, inclinometers, scales, balances and transducers.
It is anticipated that Engineering Technicians will be assigned as these job descriptions state and other related specific tasking details and priorities will be determined and set by the Commander, Kuwait Air Force Metrology Branch (KAFMB), and communicated to the Contractor lead.
QUALIFICATIONS:
An Associate’s degree with three (3) years of work relevant experience in calibrating Physical/Dimensional equipment and a working knowledge of the basic concepts of electronics and science. This knowledge shall include basic electricity, electronics, circuit theory, digital logic, algebra, and physics. OR;
Completion of a U.S. military precision measurement and calibration program, a precision measurement and calibration school at an accredited school, or within a specialized calibration firm, and four (4) years of work experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and calibrating physical/dimensional TMDE.
