Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented APO Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential clerical support to the Postmaster and contribute to the smooth operation of the APO (Army Post Office). Your responsibilities will include sorting and distributing mail, processing outgoing correspondence, and ensuring compliance with postal regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to work efficiently under pressure, and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Sort and distribute personal and official mail.
- Verify outgoing mail for proper postage, address, and endorsements.
- Collect and process letter mail from the drop box.
- Bundle and label sorted mail for proper routing.
- Ensure timely documentation and dispatch of mail.
- Redirect and forward mail to personnel
- Serve as the APO Finance Clerk, including managing postage stock.
- Apply postal and regulations for mail sent to the US and abroad.
- Provide clerical support coverage throughout APO operational hours.
- Ensure compliance with OASIS policies, directives, and reporting requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Postmaster or Support Services Manager.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
- Manage inventory levels and cash flows
- Ensure high customer satisfaction
- Develop customer requests through the process regulation
Technical Competencies:
- Ability to effectively operate and use Microsoft Office products (Excel and Word).
- Ability to operate in a front desk customer service manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Essential:
- Cash Handling knowledge
Desirable:
- SAP Experience
- Associate (or Higher) in Management
TICKETS AND LICENSES:
Minimum Essential:
- Driver’s License
EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience in postal services, logistics, or a related field.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift up to 70lbs (32kg)
- Ability to stand for 4 hours
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
It is a condition of employment that employees obtain and retain the appropriate level of security clearance and medical clearance applicable to each role. The employee will require a US Secret clearance (or Australian equivalent).
