Job Description

If so, Amentum may have the full-time position you are looking for. We have an immediate opening supporting our Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) Code 240 customer at Naval Station Norfolk.

Essential Responsibilities :

  • Provide technical assistance, assessment, and corrective actions as tasked for Code 241 cognizant equipment and services
  • Conduct inspections and assessments of current ship condition and evaluate the findings of the inspections and assessments to determine a way forward to correct the current situation
  • Write/provide MAF/debrief reports when applicable
  • Answer Engineering Service Request (ESR) and Departure from Specification (DFS) when applicable
  • Attend conferences, seminars, etc., and report results to the SME
  • Provide on-the-job training to the Ship's Force during any shipboard evolutions

Minimum Requirements :

  • Eight (8) years of experience with the Navy’s Passive Countermeasure System (PCMS)
  • Must be experienced in tile removal, surface preparation, and installation of type 3R, 12, and 18 tiles
  • Must be experienced in the use of all related materials required for PCMS installation
  • Must have four (4) years of experience as a team leader in the installation of PCMS
  • Ability to obtain PCMS installation certification (level I) and instructor certification (level II) cards issued by Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme, CA
  • Working knowledge of Navy assessment programs, visit processes, and reporting methods for visits
  • Ability to utilize computers including the Microsoft Office Suite for compiling information for reports and history files
  • Ability to transfer digital pictures from camera to computer and enhance as required and label them for report purposes
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally
  • Familiarity with the INSURV assessment process including the reporting of the same via PRISMs or other reporting software
  • Must have an active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a secret clearance.
