Job summary
Serves as the User Experience Division Chief in a Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) HQ location. The primary purpose of this position is to Supervise, manages, and administers all aspects of the User Experience Division. The incumbent establishes the necessary economic and technical requirements throughout the eCommerce Platform Program's life cycle, and manages cost, schedules, performance, and supportability of the entire program.
Major duties
Advises the Agency Director, Chief Operating Officer, Deputy Director, Executive Director of Sales and Marketing, and staff on status and operations of eCommerce initiatives (Commissary CLICK2GO, etc.); and coordinates with appropriate personnel to develop and execute program plans and schedules. Strong background in ecommerce, with a focus on operational efficiency. Manages activities, including identifying software interface and/or maintenance problems to the appropriate IT eCommerce, Sales, and Marketing support personnel. Manage and optimize ecommerce platforms. Retail eCommerce technology.
Qualification
You must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) qualifications for series 1101 and additional requirements by the announcement closing date. Experience: Your resume must clearly show that you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: Interacts at executive/senior management level, proactively advocating for solutions and managing the customer escalation process. Create and implements an analytics strategy for best-in-class service delivery. Develops and drives the operations and business metrics process for the eCommerce Platform program Conducts periodic surveys to ensure "user friendly" performance of the interface to the web site. Evaluates work performance of subordinates. Provides advice, counsel, and instruction on work and administrative matters. You will receive credit for all relevant qualifying experience (paid and unpaid), including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Physical requirements: Although some slight physical effort may be required at times, the work is primarily sedentary in nature and does not require any special physical effort or demands.
