Job summary
You will serve as a TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the TRANSPORTATION OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT. #LI-NAVSUPWSS
Major duties
You will manage and maintain the Cargo Routing Information File (CRIF) to support all Navy and Marine units worldwide. You will analyze customers' needs and make decisions regarding insurance of cargo being delivered to the correct location. You will respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, meetings, and in-person communication. You will input transactions into assigned databases/information systems.
Qualification
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying knowledge of various transportation channels, regulations, and procedures to resolve time-sensitive problems associated with the movement of cargo; 2) Properly drafting and interpreting Naval messages; 3) Managing and maintaining an accurate Cargo Routing Information File (CRIF) to support all Navy vessels and Marine mobile units worldwide; 4) Utilizing computer information systems, transportation systems, and logistics systems such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Financial and Air Clearance Transportation System (FACTS) to monitor the transportation and distribution of cargo; and 5) Providing technical support and customer service assistance to resolve inquiries regarding shipping/cargo. Education
