Job summary

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Major duties

You will direct assistants to ensure they work efficiently and safely. You will select the proper towbar for particular type of aircraft to be moved and attaches it to approved connection points. You will operate aircraft tow tractor to move aircraft to desired location. You will remove all towing fixtures from aircraft, cock wheels and ensure that the aircraft is properly secured and left in a safe condition, when in position.

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: The ability to perform common tasks including: 1) Working independently, making decisions, planning operations, showing job responsibility, and exercising initiative; 2) Interpreting oral and written instructions, directions, or work orders pertaining to the particular kind of mobile equipment being operated; 3) Demonstrating understanding signals such as hand, whistle, or lights and operating manuals, maintenance manuals, handbooks, catalogues, safety codes, road maps, construction plans, and grade stakes; 4) Operating safely the type of passenger vehicle or truck required in the job. Examples include automobiles, jeeps, pickup trucks, tow tractors for moving aircraft.
