Job summary

You will serve as a TEMPORARY LODGING ALLOWANCE ASSISTANT in the S-1 DIRECTORATE of MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII.

Major duties

You will research and apply rules and regulations governing Temporary Lodging Allowance (TLA) through the use of joint travel regulations. You will maintain direct liaison and keep a close contact with the Installation Personnel Administrative Center. You will prepare and type TLA claim certificates for audit by a higher TLA assistant. You will assist in coordinating TLA information in preparation of statistical or narrative summaries. You will provide administrative and clerical support to the staff of the TLA Section. You will use database and spreadsheet software to maintain department data bases and to enter, revise, sort, calculate and retrieve data for standard reports.

Qualification

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector Assisting in clerical procedures, processes, and methods to determine, compute, and authorize the number of days and monetary amount for Temporary Lodging Allowance (TLA) reimbursement within the installation. Education

In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Successfully completed four years of education above high school level; OR A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent. A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
