Job summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISITICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Auxiliary and Special Mission Shipbuilding Program Office (PMS 325) of PROGRAM EXECUTIVE OFFICE SHIPS. You will procure the John Lewis (T-AO 205) Class Fleet Replenishment Oilers, Special Mission Ships, Undersea Surveillance Vessels and Next Generation Logistics Ships for U.S. agencies and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Major duties

You will direct and manage development and implementation of total ship Life Cycle Sustainment Plans and principal emphasis is focused upon ship systems and equipment furnished by the shipbuilders. You will develop Program Office contract data, material and logistics program goals, objectives and requirements through participation with SYSCOMS, NAVSEA technical and functional managers, contract ship operators, Navy and Contractor organizations. You will identify functions and tasks to be performed by PMS325L division personnel; develop and prepare budget submissions; and prepare and issue comprehensive program plans for review. You will monitor and guide logistics accomplishments, expenditures and other resource utilization; achieve adherence to schedules and milestones; monitor, evaluate and redirect the performance of field agents, contractors and field activities. You will exercise logistics and managerial responsibility for work performed by PMS325L personnel, field activities, prime, sub and support contractors, on behalf of the full range of auxiliary and special mission ship logistics support functions. You will continuously oversee and evaluate progress and effectiveness of PMS325 logistics management programs and tasks. You will deliver formal Program Office logistic presentations including Independent Logistics Assessments and reports to higher level Navy groups concerned with auxiliary ad special mission ships acquisitions. You will guide subordinates in the preparation, issuance, presentation and publication of formal reports and documentation covering PMS325 integrated logistics support management programs and functions. You will direct and manage the formulation, establishment and dissemination of organizational and administrative policies addressing internal administrative management areas including personnel, logistics finance, reporting, etc.

Qualification

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the pay band NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading or directing logistics management functions (e.g. developing and executing acquisition plans, identifying resource requirements, monitoring operations and funds distributions, etc.) to support the procurement of shipboard equipment or components.
