Job summary

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DIB & MRTFB to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is located at the DIRECTORATE OF SUPPLY &TRANSPORTATION Property Accountability Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.
Major duties
Maintain an automated property book for supply transactions in logistic systems. Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory reports on assigned cost center property availability. Prepare adjustments in inventory records. Prepare inventory reports regarding the status of supply actions. Provide supply officers and hand receipt holders with status of supply actions. Conduct studies on items recorded in the property book for relative item data. Research supply catalogs to consolidate like items under the same stock number. Research data inaccuracies to resolve supply problems.
Qualification
Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) maintaining property book and inventory records to account for items; 2) researching supply catalogs and data inaccuracies for reconstructing supply transactions; and 3) using office automation software to enter and retrieve data, prepare documents, and develop charts.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
