Job summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in the Patrol & Reconnaissance Wing TEN of CDR PATROL RECON FORCE NSD. Major duties

You will manage the Whidbey Island Aviation Depot Level Repairable (AVDLR) and Aviation Consumable Supplemental Aviation Spares Support (SASSs). You will supervise three (3) Logistics’ specialists, maintaining positive custody and control of the SASSs, supervising the proper preservation, and packaging of SASS assets and ensuring they are properly stowed. You will ensure full accountability of the SASS by documenting asset movements and maintaining 100% inventory accuracy of the Repairable SASS and 95% inventory accuracy of the consumable SASS. You will supervise the complete physical inventory two times per month, immediately reconciling discrepancies, and providing inventory results to the Aviation Support Department (ASD) Whidbey SASS Coordinator. You will oversee the issuance of material from the SASS with proper documentation, promptly replenish the SASS, and post issues and receipts in the SASS Inventory Spreadsheet. You will process and stow Ready-for-Issue (RFI) AVDLR material upon receipt from MALS-24, ASD Whidbey and other off station activities. You will oversee the proper packaging of SASS assets, verifying that required documents, and shipping documents are correctly completed for immediate shipment of retrogrades to ASD Whidbey Island. You will ensure receipts are Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) compliant and ensure Proof of Deliveries (POD) are mailed to ASD Whidbey. You will ensure cradle to grave tracking of outstanding SASS replenishment documents, upkeep and maintain the SASS warehouse, storage cabinets and containers and maintain sufficient inventory of required packing and specialized containers. You will ensure the Logistics Support (LS) personnel assigned are well trained and have an up-to-date Desk Guide procedures in place. You will plan work schedules and sequence of operations to ensure meeting of scheduled and priority assignments influenced by flight operations and determination of higher level supervisors. You will assign work, oversee and evaluate work performance of night and weekend shift LSs, ensuring the work output is of acceptable quality and quantity. You will provide technical guidance on work requirements and procedures, evaluate work by occasionally reviewing subordinates or as appropriate on a spot check basis, and keep LSs informed of management guidelines and other changes. You will ensure requests are processed per established procedures including issuing from the SASS or submitting requirements, ensuring RFI material is issued to the customer and the corresponding Not-Ready-For-Issue (NRFI) component. You will oversee and screen NRFI turn-ins for induction into local repair cycle or shipment to ASD Whidbey, processing RFI material received from repair cycle or from the supply system for issue to customer or return to the SASS. You will provide cradle to grave tracking of NMCS/PMCS and SASS replenishment outstanding requisitions, preparing and and submitting requisition status report to ASD Whidbey and CPRW-10. You will maintain accountability of the Det Site HAZMAT, ensuring timely issue, shelf life management, proper storage and segregation of materials based on hazards and chemical characteristics. You will properly dispose excess or expired HAZMAT in accordance with prescribed guideline, completing weekly inventories and providing results to the NAS Whidbey Island and MCAS KBay HAZMINCENs to ensure timely replenishment. You will ensure timely ordering of Not In Stock (NIS) and/or Not Carried (NC) squadron’s HAZMAT requirements, tracking HAZMAT requisitions status and promptly issue to squadron/stow in HAZMAT lockers upon receipt.

Qualification

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing logistics and material support to oversee repairable and consumable aviation spares, hazardous materials, and supervise logistics personnel in order to ensure efficient operations, inventory control, and compliance with procedures to support mission readiness.
