Job summary
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST, Regional Security Operations Officer for REGIONAL SECURITY DIRECTORATE, N3 OPERATIONS COMNAVREG MIDLANT NORFOLK.
Major duties
Broad background and knowledge in program management to include development, acquisition, physical security, and law enforcement. Substantial technical expertise by functional elements including physical security, law enforcement, anti-terrorism/force protection, military working dogs, mobilizing security forces, and security operations. Comprehensive knowledge in a range of administrative laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to the administration of widespread regional security programs, Extensive knowledge of security functions to plan, organize, and direct the operations of Regional Security Directorate. Ability to facilitates the effective resolution of technical security problems, conflicts, and controversial issues to quickly resolve security program problems. Technical expertise in arbitrations, Federal Labor Relations Authority, and union negotiations. Expert knowledge in union contracts and have the ability to master negotiations throughout the region on changes that will have significant impact on mission accomplishment.
Qualification
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Implementing policies and processes for security operations and programs to meet legislative and higher headquarters requirements; 2) Evaluating equipment, funding and personnel requirements versus resources to determine vulnerabilities and mitigations in security operations; 3) Providing security briefs to support senior leadership decisions; and 4) Facilitates the effective resolution of technical security problems, conflicts, and controversial issues to quickly resolve security program problems.
