Job summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the Quality Assurance Office of UNDERSEA RESCUE COMMAND.

Major duties

You will be responsible for maintaining certification of the Government Owned Contractor Maintained (GOCM) programs, certification readiness of all submarine rescue assets, and will serve as the Assistant Quality Assurance Officer (AQAO). You will apply advanced, QA and DSS/SOC Program concepts and requirements, operating principles, and methodology to the oversight of the QA and DSS/SOC Programs for the assets assigned to the Submarine Rescue Operations and Maintenance Contractor. You will coordinate audit and survey schedules with the Sustaining Activity to ensure certification audits and surveys are completed in periodicity to sustain certification. You will initiate, review, evaluate, adjudicate, and track Departure from Specifications (DFS) status of all assigned DSS assets You will plan and coordinate surveillances of controlled maintenance performed by the SROMC You will assign personnel to perform surveillance of controlled work in progress. You will track the development, review, approval, progress of production, testing, and closing reviews of controlled work packages (CWP). You will review for technical accuracy and submits Departures from Specifications (DFS) to address non-conformances for all aspects of certification. You will prepare annual training schedule, assign training topics, and prepare and provide training. You will participate in rescue system mobilization and demobilization for training, multi-national exercises, and for actual rescue events.

Qualification

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying Quality Assurance (QA) analytical and technical methods and techniques to perform audit and material certification processes and compliance reviews for Deep Submergence Systems (DSS) Scope of Certification (SOC) systems; analyzing quality data and developing corrective actions for QA products, procedures, plans, or programs.
