Job summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST as the Quality Assurance Division (Head) (Code 1430), at the Naval Foundry & Propeller Center (NFPC) in Philadelphia, PA.

Major duties

You will be responsible for the quality and delivery of department programs and products, reports directly to the Department Head and supervises a subordinate staff performing the work of the department. You will review and evaluate NFPC work processes and products to ensure they are conforming to prescribed requirements. You will develop and implement policy guidance in the form of general work methods, processes, and procedures to ensure smooth workflow. You will act as the principle NFPC expert/point of contact regarding quality assessment/evaluation processes.

Qualification

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with quality assurance concepts applied in a manufacturing environment; knowledge of NAVSEA policies and industrial quality assurance practices and methods Experience with quality assurance systems and the required auditing and surveillances that go with a quality system Experience with measurement and testing in a manufacturing environment Experience providing employee feedback, advice, counsel, and instructions on work and administrative matters. Experience evaluating skills of subordinates and ensures optimum balance of resources to accomplish the workload; is accountable for efficient use of manpower and funding in execution of the command's mission.
