Major duties

Plans and directs Quality Assurance (QA) Group operations. Plans the accomplishment of QA Group functions within the resources provided by and the policies and regulations established at higher levels. Utilizes risk based techniques to establish, adjust and maintain surveillance over contractors' operating procedures. Evaluates contractor performance for compliance with the contract, applicable quality assurance policies, and regulations. Conducts Personnel Management and provides Administrative Supervision over Personnel in specialized technical occupations.

Qualification

To qualify for a Supervisory Quality Assurance Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Critical Acquisition Position (CAP) Requirement: 4 years of acquisition experience. AND B. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in, or related to, this position. To qualify for the NH-04 level, specialized experience must be at the NH-03 or GS-13 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Performing quality assurance and its operational functions for a wide variety of contract types, contractors, and commodities. Assessing the impact of policies on programs. Devising and guiding execution of applicable regulations and directives, policies, and guidelines, and planning and implementing quality assurance operational functions.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
