Job summary
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY POLICE OFFICER T32, PDD2264000 and is part of the AZ 161st Air Refueling Wing, National Guard.
Major duties
This position is located at the 161 ARW in Phoenix, Arizona. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a first level supervisor and/or flight chief, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to the Security Forces Flight. THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
Qualification
Military Grades: SSgt/E-5 to MSgt/E-7 Compatible Military Assignments: Must possess or able to obtain 3P0X1 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess 1 year equivalent to at least next lower grade level experience that provided knowledge of a body of basic laws and regulations, law enforcement operations, practices, and techniques and involved responsibility for maintaining order and protecting life and property. Creditable specialized experience may have been gained in work on a police force; through service as a military police officer; in work providing visitor protection and law enforcement in parks, forests, or other natural resource or recreational environments; in performing criminal investigative duties; or in other work that provided the required knowledge and skills. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
Education

Ability to apprehension and detention which entails carrying a firearm, operating Security Forces vehicles and equipment, mirandizing suspects, preserving evidence and testifying in court as it pertains to enforcing regulations on a military installation. 5. Ability to enforces weapons systems security standards, traffic rules and regulations, including those related to speed, reckless and drunken driving. Stops violators, notifies them of the traffic offense committed, and issues armed forces traffic tickets and DoD violation notices as appropriate.
