Job summary
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the AMMUNITION DISTRIBUTION & CONTROL (AD&C) BRANCH, LOGISTICS SUPPORT DIVISION of NAVMAG INDIAN ISLAND.
Major duties
You will plan, direct and control requisitioning, recording and distribution of expendable ordnance; space control/utilization and physical inventory; and maintenance and improvement of automated inventory recording systems, reports and files. You will monitor the establishment and maintenance of storage plans for all ordnance material, assuring optimum storage capacity and efficiency by considering all safety, security and quality requirements. You will study, investigate and analyze problems in the quality and quantity of work and operating effectiveness of the unit and take necessary corrective actions. You will provide leadership in personnel administration by promoting management relations, fair employment practices, training/promotion opportunities and incentive awards. You will analyze policy directives and highly technical correspondence promulgated by higher authority to determine local impact and/or application to expendable ordnance programs.
Qualification
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: utilizing automated inventory management systems to compile and analyze data, identify deficiencies in inventory operations, and recommend changes in support of effective ordnance distribution and control. Education
