Job summary
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INTERDISCIPLINARY NATURAL RESOURCES SPECIALIST/ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER/PHYSICAL SCIENTIST within the Environmental Business Line, Public Works Department (PWD), Environmental Division, Environmental Branch at an Echelon IV command of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 8.90% will be added to the stated salary. COLA is subject to change at any time.
Major duties
You will apply a wide range of environmental engineering or physical science theories, concepts, principles, standards, and methods sufficient to determine and/ or execute actions for a wide range of assignments. You will apply combinations of complex features, and to formulate, execute, advise on, and explain recommendations or solutions to modify standard practices, equipment devices, processes and techniques and resolve a wide variety of complete problems. You will have knowledge of facilities acquisition and overall system requirements, as well as project funding authority levels and sources, contract requirements, contract documents, proposal and bidding procedures.
Qualification
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying a wide range of environmental engineering or physical science theories, concepts, principles, standards, and methods sufficient to determine and/ or execute actions for a wide range of assignments; 2) Applying combinations of complex features, and to formulate, execute, advise on, and explain recommendations or solutions to modify standard practices, equipment devices, processes, and techniques and resolve a wide variety of complete problems; and 3) Having knowledge of facilities acquisition and overall system requirements, as well as project funding authority levels and sources, contract requirements, contract documents, proposal and bidding procedures. Education
Degree: physical science, engineering, or mathematics that included 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics. or Combination of education and experience -- education equivalent to one of the majors shown in A above that included at least 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
