Job summary
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the MPN/RPN Budget Section of PERS WASHINGTON.
Major duties
You will serve as a senior liaison providing insight to budgets, analyzing, interpreting, and evaluating funding plans, monitor execution and identify actual or potential funding issues. You will assist leadership with the development, implementation, and revision of financial management policies, plans, and programs to facilitate the effective, efficient, and timely application of financial resources. You will assist leadership with reviewing work and management techniques of subordinate supervisors and makes decisions on work problems presented by subordinate supervisors. You will assist leadership in the development of program measures of current and future operations. You will prepare briefs for senior managers on budget, accounting and program execution review, analysis and appraisal of major operating and support programs within the organization.
Qualification
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Implementing concepts, principles, practices, laws, and regulations of budgeting and/or finance to relate them to subordinates and senior levels; 2) Developing and rendering authoritative interpretations of financial executive orders; 3) Evaluating financial management program execution for effectiveness and efficiency; and 4) Monitoring large-scale financial management projects and programs to ensure timely completion and adherence to Congressional legislation.
