Job summary
You will serve as a Supervisory Financial Management Analyst in the Comptroller Department of PSNS and IMF.
Major duties
You will coordinate and communicate with human resources and administrative services on internal personnel actions to include hiring, promotions and disciplinary actions. You will provide strategic communication internally to employees, managers and union representatives as well as external communication to higher headquarters and other stakeholders. You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management. You will develop, determine, and interpret accounting and finance policies and practices. You will oversee the accounting and finance of the command and the integrity of the accounting system(s). You will present and defend suggested changes to Defense, Navy and Joint regulations. You will resolve issues in work environment that continually change accounting and finance practices resulting from new legislation.
Qualification
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating, analyzing, and providing recommendations on improving the effectiveness and efficiency of financial operations, and developing and interpreting budgetary policies and practices.
