Job summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII.

Major duties

You will interpret government financial policy independently to ensure fiscal compliance. You will analyze and recommend cost and benefits of alternative methods of financial management. You will devise solutions to problems by developing and or modifying accounting or budgetary methods and techniques. You will plan work, set priorities, and schedule work necessary to assure effective and expeditious accomplishment of command operational or financial priorities.

Qualification

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning work to be accomplished by subordinates, setting and adjusting short-term priorities, and preparing schedules for completion of work; 2) Identifying developmental and training needs of employees, providing or arranging for needed development and training; 3) Applying a variety of analytical methods and techniques to evaluate financial and accounting processes; 4) Creating and analyzing reports based on budget plans compared to actual execution of funding, analyzing the reports, and bringing issues/recommendations to the attention of senior leadership; and 5) Reviewing financial transactions to ensure validity, accuracy, and timeliness of all transactions processed. *NOTE: THIS INFORMATION MUST BE SUPPORTED IN YOUR RESUME TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION.
