About the Position: These positions are located at Munson Army Health Center, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation This is an open continuous announcement. Major duties

Develop individualized treatment plans based on psychiatric diagnosis, identified problems, and treatment needs for each case. Utilize social work systems and psychological theories, principals, and techniques in treatment plan development. Work with highly complex cases in which individuals are severely impacted by moderate to severe psychiatric diagnoses to include factors such as history of trauma, co-occurring conditions, and suicide. Provide individual and group clinical counseling services using various evidenced based modalities as clinically indicated for adults. Collect bio-psycho-social information about patients using interview, case history, and observation techniques, and assessment methods.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Basic Requirements for Social Worker (Clinical): Degree: Master's degree (or higher degree) in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Experience required: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: conducting bio-psychosocial evaluations on patients, providing individual or group counseling to behavioral health patients, and developing treatment plans for patients. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Licensure: A current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Social Work independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory or jurisdiction.
