About the Position: Serves as a Senior Exercise Planner for the Joint Activities located at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.

Major duties

Serves as an Air Planner and Aviation Exercise Requirements Specialist. Prepare and brief action officer and executive correspondence regarding aviation component training. Coordinate all aspects of aviation support, training requirements, and after-action review for exercises. Provide air scheduling information and coordinate with the air and space joint force providers Provide aviation planning and execution of the Command's training and exercise program. Serve as a joint force aviation subject matter expert with ability to liaise with aviation force providers.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes planning, directing and managing operations exercises; providing advice on aviation exercise policies and procedures; and assisting in the development of new approaches to the exercise program for the organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Information Management Planning and Evaluating Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
