Job summary

About the Position: Serves as physical, personnel, and information security manager. Plans, implements, and manages all aspects of security programs and installation directives. This is a Term APPT NTE 2 Years for Department of the Army Civilian Employees Applying on Time-Limited Assignments. Major duties

Prepare standard operating plans for emergency preparedness. Continuously monitor security management automated systems. Analyze physical security operation procedures to ensure maximum security is provided. Review security documents for accuracy to maintain status reports. Conduct onsite physical security inspections for compliance with regulations. Provide assessments of facilities security posture to provide risk analysis. Provide inspection reports to brief leaders on recommended changes to security program. Assist with Defense Travel System management to coordinate travel related items. Routinely conduct security information classes for entire unit education. Disseminate updated related information to update personnel on changes to policies.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Cyber Security, Homeland Security, or Security Management (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Accountability Administration and Management Attention to Detail Compliance Inspection Teaching Others Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).

Education

Evaluations
