Job summary
You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the GOVERNMENT SPECIAL SECURITY OFFICE (GSSO) of COMHELSEACOMBATWING LANT.
Major duties
You will be responsible for the overall Information Systems, Personnel, Physical and Information Resources (IR) Security, Operations Security (OPSEC), Physical Security and Loss Prevention. You will serve as the technical, administrative, and management authority on all security matters with respect to Special Access Programs (SAP) for the command. You will serve as Command representative for HSCWL to high level task groups and committees developing operational management and logistic policies for regional SAP Programs. You will function as the manager/principle advisor to the Commander for all matters pertaining to the security/protection, control and utilization of SCI. You will develop contents/prepare and present various security awareness lectures and personnel security indoctrinations and debriefings. You will conduct command inspections or internal reviews concentrating on information and personnel security requirements/regulations. You will develop procedures relating to investigations/information collection/interview technique, and reporting policies. You will utilize CNO/SSO Navy Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), ONI Scattered Castles, NSA Human resource management Concerto system to monitor daily productivity. You will formulate and coordinate the Command Security Awareness Training and Education (SATE) program.
Qualification
To qualify for a GS-12 your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying comprehensive knowledge of physical security programs and policy requirements in order to establish and provide policy oversight and serve as the technical authority for the management of CNO Special Access Control Programs. Experience displaying an in-depth knowledge of the collateral security manuals, procedures, policy guidelines and regulations for Special Access and other related or unrelated specialized security programs. Experience exhibiting a comprehensive knowledge of SECNAV/CNO, CIA, NSA, DIA, NCIS, SSO Navy/CYBERFORCOM policies and procedures. Experience demonstrating mastery of complex security concepts, principles and practices involving the three major specialized areas of personnel, information, and physical security in order to accomplish mission.
